Our
Burnaby campus is located thirty minutes from downtown Vancouver
and is close to the U.S. border. Burnaby is easily
accessible from Vancouver by Skytrain, bus, or car. With
a population of ½ million people, Burnaby offers many
recreational and cultural opportunities for its multicultural
population.
SHTCM
founder and Chief of the faculty, Dr. Sky Liu, N.H.D. (Natural
Health Doctor), Ph.D. of TCM, is the inventor and patent
holder of the Self-Treatment Magnetic Acupressure Device
(USA Patent and P.R. China Patent). Dr. Liu has been in
clinical practice for over 40 years, operating clinics in
Nevada, Chile, Burnaby, and Surrey. He is renowned for treating
patients with difficult diseases to help them achieve their
maximum health. Dr. Sky welcomes patients for eye and scalp
acupuncture for paralysis and spinal cord injuries on a
case by case basis.
He
was a featured lecturer at the International Symposium on
Painless Acupuncture in October, 1998 at Zheng Zhou Hunnan
TCM University in China. His presentation was on Qi
(energy, pronounced "chee"), explained in Western
terminology. Dr.
Liu has provided instruction in TCM and Acupuncture in the
Vancouver area since 1988.
